The dub “city of parks”, which is Geneva often referred to, due to the fact that over one quarter of the city is covered by public parks, is more than apt.. Most of the parks are, nevertheless, situated along the lake with marvellous views of the mountains surrounding the area.

La Perle-du-Lac and Parc Moynier

The ‘Pearl of Lake’ and Moynier Park which is next to it are unequivocally the most beautiful area in Geneva with stunning views of the majestic Mont Blanc and the lake. The parks are filled with various flowers and trees which render a great repose after a busy day.

Parc La Grange

Parc La Grange - Geneva’s largest park occupying the area of about 3 acres - contains the largest rose garden in the city and therefore is referred to as a horticultural meeting point. The Verdure Theatre, located on the site, hosts concerts every Wednesday and Friday during the summer months.

Bastions Park

Once a botanical garden, the tree lined Bastions Park is especially popular with students and young couples who go to enjoy the local fairly private atmosphere. The famous chess boards situated at the northern extremity of the park attracts all chess lovers regardless their age, gender or religion. The well-known Reformation Wall surrounding the old bulwark wall of the Old Town pays tribute to the founders of the Reformation forever immortalized in statue along the wall.
