International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent

Probably the most popular and most visited museum in Geneva - the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent – intimately depicts the history of the world’s first humanitarian organization from its beginnings until present.

Natural History Museum of Geneva

Natural History Museum of Geneva represents the largest museum of this kind in Switzerland (with over 8,000 m2 of exhibit space, and nearly half a million visitors a year). Each story of the museum features a different kind of exhibits.

The ground floor, for example depicts the regional fauna, the first floor is focused on mammals and birds whereas the second floor features amphibians and reptiles, insects and other invertebrates. The third floor offers exhibitions concerning the history of Mankind, minerals and the geology of the Geneva region while the fourth floor geology of Switzerland.

There are also many temporary exhibitions held here on scientific challenges of the future, on pressing environmental issue such as, for instance the global warming phenomenon.

International Automobile Museum

Showing over 400 cars, the International Automobile Museum is a real must-see for all car enthusiasts. The museum houses a spectacular collection of German, French and Italian automobiles in particular, everything from prototypes all the way to race cars as well as antique cars and even motorcycles. The museum, that is to say, is the site of the largest annual car show in Europe.
