Geneva - climate

Despite the fact that the local climate is mostly continental, the weather here is usually a little bit milder than in the rest of the central Europe. During the winter seasons, it’s not uncommon that the thermometer does not soar over zero; however, 18°C during the Christmas has already been noted. Summers are usually warm, with temperatures around 25°C during the day and 15°C at night. The whole region all around the Geneva Lake boast with a pleasant micro-climate as it’s spared from strong cold winds by majestic, snow-covered summits of the giants of the Alps.
